On Saturday, June 10 at 7:30pm, world-renowned Trumpeter Bobby Shew will present, “The Great Ladies of Jazz,”
a Benefit Concert for Preservation of Historic Old San Ysidro Church,
featuring the Bobby Shew Quintet and Vocalist Carla Van Blake. Carla will be performing jazz classics from
Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn, Lena Horne, Carmen McRae, and more.
Tickets for the Benefit Concert are $50 each. $28 of the price is tax-deductible.
All proceeds will go to the ongoing preservation of the Old Church, an iconic adobe structure and the Historic Heart of Corrales.
Affectionately known as “a great lady of a certain age,” she is always in need of constant loving attention.
