ViV Updated Operating Information (COVID-19 Response)

ViV is monitoring the health crisis in New Mexico closely, as well as keeping in touch with local Corrales health officials, to ensure we are complying with all guidelines and policies in place. As most of our members are in a high-risk category, we have chosen to take a cautious path to re-establishing our menu of services.
The State of New Mexico has established a series of phases that is guiding the re-opening of businesses and services. Based on the State’s guidelines, we will begin offering more services at about 50% of past year’s levels.
• We will try to accommodate all requests for medically necessary appointments. Those requests will be given the highest priority.
• Companionship check-ins will mainly be conducted by phone; urgent requests for in-home services will be accommodated to the best of our ability.
• Grocery store shopping or pick-up of other necessary items will continue.
• ViV will establish protocols for face-to-face services and both members and volunteers will receive detailed information on these new procedures.
Social activities will continue to be online, using the Zoom platform. We have had some excellent presentations, as well as weekly coffees. These offerings will be expanded in the following weeks. In the next phases, we anticipate being able to expand our social programs.
